A party room meeting of the Liberal Party has endorsed Dominic Perrottet as Premier with Stuart Ayres his deputy.
"I am pleased the leadership question has been settled quickly, at a critical time in our state’s recovery from the COVID-19 Delta outbreak," said Business NSW Chief Executive Daniel Hunter.
"Dominic Perrottet and his team have a big job to do to ensure continuity of leadership for the state and to deliver the roadmap to reopening, and they certainly have the experience to achieve that goal," Mr Hunter said.
"Business NSW has worked closely with Dominic Perrottet over the years, both as Finance Minister and most recently as Treasurer.
"He has been a great advocate for the business community and has been singularly focused on delivering the best possible operating conditions for business throughout the pandemic and lockdowns.
"As recently as a fortnight ago he participated in virtual meetings with our members across NSW and personally followed up on a number of the issues that were raised.
"Less than a week from re-opening, I am confident Premier Perrottet will be the steady hand business needs to approach next Monday with confidence.
"Dominic Perrottet understands the role that the business community will play in our state’s economic recovery and with his new Treasurer will continue to work to make NSW the place to do business in Australia," Mr Hunter said.
