“With borders now open across Australia and with Sydney welcoming fully vaccinated international visitors and returning Aussies home for Christmas, it’s the economic boost the visitor economy needs as it claws back the lost ground created by the pandemic’, said NSW Tourism Industry Council Executive Manager, Greg Binskin.
As businesses re-engage local staff to meet seasonal demands, now is the time for visitors to use their Dine & Discover vouchers and make reservations at a favourite dining spot, a cellar door experience, an aboriginal culture adventure, a guided walk, a boat trip or a soft adventure experiences so they don’t miss out.
Reconnecting with family and friends during the summer holidays will be a priority for many visitors to NSW. If you're having trouble finding that special gift.... why not give them ‘The Gift of Travel’ this holiday season.
With Sydney and NSW back to business and with high, pent-up demand, it's hoped destinations and experiences will exceed customers’ expectations and encourage them to use their digital footprint to spread the word about their experiences in the NSW.
“It’s also important that people use common sense when out shopping, visiting and dining across the holiday season, especially where venues and shops are busy," Mr Binskin said.
"Be respectful of staff, your fellow visitors and shoppers. If a particular venue or store is packed upon entry, it's probably best to come back later to ensure a safe and happy holiday season for all."
