About this Submission

Business NSW's submission on the NSW energy security target and safeguard argues in favour of strengthening the business energy efficiency components, encouraging government to be more ambitious with its plans. Incorporating lessons My Business has learned by delivering the Business Energy Advice Program for the Commonwealth government, our recommendations show how non-cost barriers to businesses taking up energy efficiency measures can be overcome. The submission also highlights political challenges with setting the energy security target, and the need to balance users' ability and willingness to pay for reliability measures.
